When the sunset fades away and the night falls, Milan lights up with a thousand Christmas decorations, the Christmas songs spread from Duomo square. The Vittorio Emanuele Arcade captures the gaze with its sparkling dome!
During the days before Christmas, shops and bookshops are crowded with people, the rush to buy the gifts is frenetic. The most famous confectioneries make their “panettone” according to the old recipe invented in Milan. The tradition of the “pan de Toni”, the first panettone, brings us back to the Middle Ages when sumptuous royal dinners were celebrated in the Sforzesco Castle.
I’m waiting after Christmas day when the city calms down, leaving aside for a few days its typical frenzy. I wish you all, friends of Franconiphotos, a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2018.
Merry X-Mas, Merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad, Joyeux Noel, Frohe Weinachte, Vesel Bozic!
