On the Move! The World Behind Logistics

Logistics is a fascinating and silent world. Without it, the world would just freeze in seconds. This reportage, promoted by The International Propeller Club – Port of Milan in collaboration with SEA Milano Airports and under the patronage of the European Commission, explores what lies behind the journey of people and goods.

Logistics is the magic of interconnection, precise and meticulous, that connects the dots on the map. Every line drawn between those dots represents a journey of people or goods. Humanity has traveled and traded since the dawn of time, but never as rapidly as today. Behind every journey lie businesses and individuals who ensure that the journey is both possible and safe. With this reportage, I aim to shine a light on what we normally don’t see: what lies behind those lines. Alessio Franconi

At Malpensa Airport

The exhibition will debut at Milan Malpensa Airport from February 20 to May 20, 2025, in the prestigious Photosquare exhibition space of SEA Milano Airports.

On Display

The focus is on the world of transportation, with a geographic heart spanning Liguria and Lombardy, ranging from the waterchannels with the touch of Leonardo da Vinci to the most modern airport infrastructures. The perspective broadens to Europe and the world, going underground to the tunnels of the Turin-Lyon project, through cutting-edge European Union research centres, and to Northern Europe, where harsh Arctic climates are managed.
